“Who I am?”

So cheesy, but fits so fantastically with my last weeks blog :)

A quote for the day....

The Bhagavad Gita – that ancient Yogic Text – say that it is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else’s life with perfection.

Hi Chudney,

Thank you for another post and for sharing this great quote with us!! It is a very wise statement and is a very powerful message. This quote is something that we could use to help us reflect on our lives and take inventory of ourselves to allow us to be ourselves, go for our dreams, and enjoy life.

I think that in order to succeed or advance to the next level (whatever that might be - it is different for all of us), we sometimes have to move out of our comfort zone and take a risk. If we choose to stay in that comfort zone, that is fine, but we won't grow and experience new things in life. The unknown is sometimes very scary, but if one doesn't take the risk then they won't "Know and Grow" in life. Things could come crashing down and not work out for us when we try to achieve our dreams or move to that next level (whether it is going for a new job, changing careers, etc.) or things might turn out to be absolutely spectacular for us, but I guess that we won't know if it will work for us unless we try. There is definitely a risk factor involved in all of this, and we have to evaluate whether or not what we are searching for is worth taking that risk. I am sure that we will all be confronted with situations like this in our own lives at one point or another, and we will know when the time is right to take some of these risks. I also think that hard work and determination are very important pieces to the puzzle and will help one succeed in life. We have to know ourselves, believe in ourselves, and trust ourselves as we try to live our own destiny on this journey through life. I am certainly not an authority on any of this, but these are just some of my thoughts.

Anyway, thanks for sharing this quote with us. It caused me to reflect on "Who I am" through this process. I really enjoyed this theme over the past few weeks and the topic of "Happiness" last month. You really touch on some very important and meaningful topics through your blog, and this is one of the many, many reasons that I continue to read each week. Thanks again for all that you do with this site!

Hope all is well with you!

Your friend,

Mark

Authenticity is not for the faint of heart. Opening oneself up to an intimate makes one vulnerable to rejection or betrayal. Authenticity is necessary for close relationships because intimacy cannot develop without openness and honesty. Wow this is a very intellectually stimulating subject. Someone recommended reading "Yoga and the Quest for the True Self" Stephen Cope. I'm going to. Thanks Chudney.

I don't think this is cheesy. The song really speaks on what lot of us wants. Everyone wants someone to love them for who they are. Sometime we all likes to be needed.
I personally loves the fact that my family do accept me for who I am and I accept them as well. We all have our own life to live. What may work for one person may not work for the next person. It is all ways good to know who you are and be the best at being you. Lena!!!!

Hey Chudney
That last stunning pic of you looks like the scene from Mom's last album, "I Love You" where she appears from behind the trees. Love it. Take Me Higher!

Dear Chudney;

Who am I??????
I am woman...hear me roar ...[ha]...

Seriously...I am a woman...
daughter...sister....aunt...stepmom.... STRONG...DETERMINED.

I am a believer in HARD WORK... pocess...wonderful WORK ETHIC.
Whatever task.... or job you undertake...do it to the best of your ability...or simply do not waste your time.
A POSITIVE THINKER....and believe that it is so very important in life to think positively.
The power of positive thinking is magic.
Surround yourself with like minded people...and if you can... with people who are smarter than yourself.
We must not stop LEARNING!!!
CONFIDENT...I know that there is nothing I cannot achieve...if I set my mind to it.
Firmly believing that we are only limited... by our thoughts.
My motto...IF YOU THINK YOU CAN... YOU CAN!!!! IF YOU THINK YOU CAN'T...YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!
SUCCESSFUL...I never give up trying...and will continue...even if I fail.
Failure to me is not something to be shamed of...however...NOT attempting to do something is infinitely worse.
RESPONSIBLE!!!! Today... we are hard prEssed to find people...who actually take resposiblity...it is far easier to blame someone else for our faults... actions and mistakes.
I am not afraid to admit that I have made mistakes...in life we often do...learning from them...that is the key!!
I may make many...however...never the same one twice.
RISK TAKER... in life we ought to take risks...this is the only way to realize our full potential.
I know those... who are afraid to take them...this to me is so sad...never once taking that plunge... to discover the dream may very well have been... just outside their reach.
Instead they choose to play it safe.
Let me assure you...regret is a hard pill to swallow!!!!

A SHIP IS SAFE IN HARBOUR...THAT IS NOT WHAT SHIPS ARE MADE FOR!!!

This quote speaks volumes.
HONEST...I have no doubt in my mind that being honest and SINCERE...will still get you to the top.
This is how I choose to live my personal...and professional life.
SURVIVOR...that even through all adversity....I still attempt to see that silver lining beyond the clouds.
LEADER...I do not follow...
in my life... I have many who look up to me...so therefore I try to lead by example.
Family and employees alike...I walk the walk.
SYMPATHETIC...EMPATHETIC...also learned from my MOTHER.
In fact ....most everything learned in childhood...has brought me to where I am today.
BLESSED... I have worked very hard and become SUCCESSFUL.
Through my business...I support many many CHARITABLE organizations...and feel the need to give back to those less fortunate.
RESPECTFUL...of all people ...races...religions...we are all created equal.
Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity.
GOOD LISTENER...you have to be... in order to be a GOOD FRIEND.
SINCERE...and GENEROUS...and in fact...would much rather be GIVING...than receiving.
SENSE OF HUMOUR...which has hepled me through some... not so wonderful times in life.
BALANCED...and attempt to weigh all pros and cons proir to making a decision.
I live my life with PURPOSE...and know all too well how short and precious life can be.
All the while striving to live my life to it's fullest potential.
AFFECTIONATE... LOVING...and will not keep secret...how much my loved ones mean to me.
I am a WOMAN...SIMPLE...COMPLEX...
AWARE...THOUGHTFUL...INSPIRING!!!!

THIS IS WHO I AM!!!!
