HAPPY NEW YEARS

2010! WOW! Time passes so quickly!

The New Year gives us a time to reflect on years past and how to move forward in new, healthy and positive ways. I took a moment this holiday season to go over my resolutions from last year. Though I have come a long way with my health and fitness, writing and building my business, relationships, etc… there were still so many things that I had hoped to accomplish. I pondered what was most important for me this year and re-wrote my resolutions.

One of the things on my list of resolutions was this blog. Originally, I wrote here as a way to keep myself motivated and to continue to write weekly. I wrote because it was a fun way to explore my world and keep my fingers typing. I enjoyed the fact that I got tons of hits, that I seemed to entertain and evoke thought and so many of you continued to tuned in week after week. I truly appreciate your support and kind words.

Sadly, somewhere along the way, I lost the joy of writing this blog. Maybe it’s because my life has changed so much from when I started. At the beginning, I focused on the parties, the events, shopping and travel… The Hollywood lifestyle. Now, my focus seems to have shifted to starting a business, creating a positive impact on the world, my writing and my personal relationships. I still love the parties, don’t get me wrong, but as I embrace getting older I tend to be more content sitting on the couch curled up with a book, playing board games with friends or learning to cook for the first time.

As I grow and mature, I think it may be time for my blog to evolve as well. My thought is to take a subject that is important to me and explore it in depth through writing, art, videos and also getting input from you out there! My readers are beautiful, smart and talented. Amera’s poems, Sharon, Gene, Ruth, Sara, Mark, Lena, Bungee, Freddie, Andrew, Q and so many more of you who share your kind words, thoughts and experiences. I would love to figure out how to have you be a part of this too.

I’m still figuring out how to put it all together, but… stay tuned!
I promise, I’ll be back soon ☺

Happy New Year! You got me thinking of the lyrics to one of my favorites
Everything Must Change
Nothing stays the same.
Uda uda the best!
No one stays the same
The young become the old
And mysteries do unfold
Cause thats the way of time
Nothing and no one goes unchanged
There are not many things in life
You can be sure of
Except rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
and music makes me cry
And hummingbirds do fly
Winter turns to spring
A wounded heart will heal
But never much too soon.

You never cease to amaze me. You clearly have a keen sense of self to know the when, where and how to make an intelligent transition to the next step, on this road we call life. You've always had the unbreakable confident pick the time and place that feel just right for you to make the next step. Just know, we will always be in your corner, FABULOUSLY cheering you on! Sounds like you are entering a mid-life crisis Chudney (LOL). Glad to hear the new direction you are taking in life. Parties and the Studio 54 lifestyle and the gay bars can only last a limited time. Perhaps you can share with us a book you find particularly interesting. I recommend "The White Tiger" about life in India along the lines of Slum Dog Millionaire. Intersted in your thoughts.

Hey Chudney I really don't want you to stop blogging but I understand that so much has happen in your life. Everyone goes through changes so you got to do what feel right for you. All I ask if it would be ok if I can stay in touch with you. We have grown to be friends and I don't want to lose that friendship. I hope that is possible. Happy New Years to you and your family may you all have many more. Much love from the heart Lena!!! Only Love Can Conquer All.. Singing out LENA??????

Chudney, you have to always know the season that you are in. If your season for blogging is over than embrace that and move on, because if you continue to blog out of season, you will become frustrated and unmotivated. To blog or do anything out of season is like wearing summer clothes during winter months.
I do enjoy your blogs but life is happening different for you right now, so go for it and embrace it to the max. Ohh and Chudney don't forget Jesus He makes it all happen.

Love ya

Life takes us in various directions on our journey. Where it leads you, I hope it brings you much joy and excitement. I love your blog. My favorite is the trip to Costa Rica and when you took us skiing! It has all been such fun. Enjoy your time and new adventures. Oprah knew when to move on, so did Simon Cowell and Tyra. Whatever, whenever, follow your passion.

I'm typing from my friends PC. Mine gave out.

Happy New Year and much joy ahead!

no offense "Q", but enough of the Jesus talk. Miss Chudney has made it on her very own---not because of Jesus.

Dear Chudney....

I was reading your latest blog...
PLEASE!!!! say it ain't so...
we would all be so disappointed...
if you should decide to go...

you know of course I'm joking...
not that we would not miss you...
but we are all mature enough to handle...
this very important issue...

there comes a time in everyone's life...
when we have to turn the pages...
we grow up...we grow older...
and go through different stages...

what was once important...
may no longer be at all...
we just know ...that in our hearts..
we get our "WAKE UP CALL"...

life certainly has changed...
I speak now for myself ...
so to think it remains the same for others...
I would only be fooling myself...

life takes us different dierctions...
places we never dreamed we'd go...
whether we like it or not...
the winds of change will blow...

we must 'FOLLOW OUR DREAMS"...
wherever they may lead ...
for when we hear our calling...
it is something we all must heed...

we are simply thrilled to hear...
that you're life has evolved...
and to know that you are attempting ...
to still... keep us all involved...

you must know that we'll support you...
in any way that we can...
knowing deep inside our hearts and minds...
....GOD DOES HAVE A PLAN!!!!...

I have always followed my instincts...
thoughout my entire life...
lead me to where I am today...
somehow my feelings were ALWAYS right...

this is for "ANONYMOUS"...
commenting about "Q"...
God does have a hand you know...
in EVERYTHING that we do...

God never gives us more...
than we can ever handle...
tonite I'll say a prayer for "B"
and I will light a candle...

no matter how hard the trial...
God gives us strength to see it through...
I feel deep inside my heart...
he'll take good care of you...

and as for you Chudney...
we are with you "ALL THE WAY"...
I am a woman of my word...
that is what I have to say...

so whatever you choose to do...
with or without us...
we are confident that whatever it is...
it will be nothing short of
FABULOUS!!!!

Thanks for the mention chud!,

What a pleasant surpise. I think that's great all the changes you're going through, refreshing isn't it? I still want to know have you read that last book by Sista Souljah. I've finally gotten around to reading Anne Rice's books "Christ The Lord" one and two. They were both spiritually rewarding to say the least and just in time for the new year...Perhaps if get some time you should check them out as well.

I'll continue to check your blog for an answer about the Souljah's book also to help in anyway posible on your road ahead. Much, much love and a big thanks.

Good Morning All,
Anonymous, I don’t take offense because Jesus is my lifestyle, and I make no apology for that. Unfortunately, not everyone has Him as a part of their life; however, it doesn't negate the fact that we still need Him. He created the Blueprint for our lives, yet some do play Russian roulette and take their own lives in their hands believing that they don’t need Him. I would only trust and believe that Chudney would know beyond a shadow of a doubt that she hasn’t made it this far without Him and His Grace and Mercy. As you see Anonymous, we are mere clay in The Potter’s (Jesus) hands and He loves us so much that He shapes us and gives us success, but pride enters into our hearts and we think that we did it all by ourselves.
But I encourage you Anonymous, don’t get it twisted; we are NOTHING without Jesus Christ, and I pray that you will find that out before it’s too late.
If you don’t remember anything I wrote, Remember that He loves you Anonymous and He wants the best for you.
I hope that you don’t feel as if I’ve attacked you in anyway because Jesus only operates in Love and Truth and I pray that this message came across in the same manner.

Bless you

Q

Q--Thanks for your respectful comments. Some of us, however, do not believe in Jesus because we are Jewish. We view him as a historical figure, who happened to be Jewish, but who was not the Messiah. I just don't like it when people assume we are all believers in Jesus. I also don't like it when people say they are "blessed". Blessed by whom? In Europe most of the churches are empty and in Denmark most people are non-believers are quite happy. If Jesus works for you--then great. Just not for me. Kind regards

Dear Chudney;

....WITH DIGNITY AND LOVE......

As we welcome a NEW YEAR....
saying farewell to 2009...
hoping this is the year....
we leave all our troubles behind...

a world with ...NO FEAR....
NO HUNGER... NO WAR...
that is the kind of year my friend...
that I am wishing for...

a world without POVERTY...
NO RACISM...NO SUFFERING...
that is precisely the world...
that I would like to LIVE in...

we can change this world...
if we all do our part...
treating one another with respect...
LOVING... from our hearts...

treating all beings equally...
seeing beyond race and religion...
that is the sort of world....
I long to leave...for my children...

not treating EACH OTHER with respect...
let alone this planet in which we live...
I was taught as a young child...
it is always better ...to give...

this PLANET was gift to us...
given from above...
we cannot even respect that...
and treat it with some love...

we pilfered and plundered...
what on earth were we thinking???
this PLANET is the SHIP...
and we are clearly sinking...

we all must start right now...
the PLANET cannot heal itself...
we must work together to save it...
it needs some serious help...

we must change this world...
it all begins with YOU and ME...
if we all work together...
nothing ...is an impossibility...

our world needs healing desperately...
from this path that we take...
to turn a blind eye MY FRIEND...
would be a horrific mistake...

like the man said in his song...
THE MAN WITHIN THE MIRROR...
"take a look at yourself and make the change"...
he could not have made it clearer...

our belief in GOD...ALLAH...or JESUS...
or perhaps none of the above...
we must still treat this world.... and all that exists...
...WITH DIGNITY...AND LOVE!!!!!

Good Afternoon All,

Anonymous, I understand and respect your view; however, I would never disrespect you, although I felt disrespect by your comment because it attacked my lifestyle.
I also feel that you were out of order when you spoke on Chudney’s behalf saying that
she made it on her very own, not because of Jesus. You don’t know if she feels that way and maybe she does, but you can’t assume that and speak on her behalf.
In any case, I do respect the fact that this is Chudney’s blog so we shouldn’t be going back and forth like this, but Anonymous, I want you to always remember that you should never disrespect people’s lifestyle because you don’t have a clue what shaped their lives, for them to make the choices they do ~ case in point why are you a Jew?
In closing, if you happen to stumble across this scenario again, just respect the person for who they are because you never know who needs YOU to be the best YOU can be.
Once again this is not to attack you in any way but it’s written from a place of Love in my heart.

In His Love and Care

Hi Chudney,

I'm just stopping by to say hello!! Hope all is well with you!!

Sincerely,

Mark

P.S. I miss reading your blog each week! Hope that everything is okay! I am sure that you are just super busy (I know the feeling!). Were you able to go skiing this year in Aspen? If so, I hope that you had a great time! We are headed for another big snow storm this week on the East Coast. The last one over the weekend was funny (most of southern Jersey got it - it usually doesn't work that way). I still can't wait for those "Lazy, Crazy, Hazy Days of Summer" (my favorite season)!! My P.S. turned into a very long note in itself. Oh well. Talk to you soon! Stay well!
