Los Angeles, CA

From this blog people must think I live a pretty fabulous life; that every day is a party or at least a struggle to get into a party. I’ve recently gotten some emails asking why am so obsessed with socialites and basically telling me to get a life ;) The truth of it is this blog is just for fun. Yes, these are my real experiences, BUT most of my days are not this exciting. I live a pretty normal life of anonymity. I am no more fabulous than the next girl (ok, well maybe a little bit. LOL;). I wake up, snuggled with my dog (yes, one day I hope for a man in the bed too), throw on some sweatpants (I love free city, but have only one pair I borrowed and never returned to my mom because they are so expensive) and my Ugg boots, walk the dog, go to the coffee bean and write at the library.

I eat lean cuisines, fast food or out with friends, go to local bars and watch a lot of TV (Love Grey’s Anatomy, What About Brian, Real World, and pretty much what ever else is on. I love TV). I have a great my life. Its relaxed and low key, but sometimes I want more…

I think ideally, we ALL want more. Rarely are people content with what they’ve got and I’m no exception. I crave that big break in my career, enough money to not stress, invites to fabulous parties, a healthy and loving relationship, fun and fabulous friends. I want it all…

In my SOCIALITE dream world, here is my ideal day:

I wake without an alarm to the sound of the waves in my beachside Malibu Colony home. I rollover and snuggle with a hunky Brody Jenner type guy (Brody is NOT by dream guy, but he sure is good looking ;) I feel content and relaxed as I stretch and go through my morning routine. Outside, I munch on a handful of bacon (I love bacon and would eat it every day if it weren’t so damn unhealthy) as I walk in the sand and let the dogs run off leash on the beach. I chat with Pamela Anderson also walking her dogs and have a laugh with my neighbor Jim Carrey.

I would hop into my Porsche or BMW convertible (How awesome would it be to have a convertible sports car and an SUV parked in your garage?) and head to the Coffee Bean. In my dream world I would not give up my English breakfast tea latte (but there would never be a line and the sun would always hit the patio just right). I would sit and read trashy magazines (I love In Touch and US Weekly) and write (I would NEVER have writers block. Words would always flow freely out my fingertips ;) I would put my phone on vibrate while enjoying the sun since it would never stop ringing with calls from my agents (lots of hosting and writing offers would always be coming in).

Jessica Simpson and I would eat lunch bikini clad and poolside at the Mondrian Hotel (the goat cheese salad is to die for) with mimosas in hand. They would never bug me or ask if I was a guest of the hotel. After lunch, I would meet up with Sienna Miller to go shopping (I love her style) on Robertson (Lisa Kline, Kitson, Madison). I would not fret about the price tags. With my car full of my purchases, I would return home down the PCH wind blowing in my hair and there would never be traffic.

I would watch the sunset snuggled on a blanket in the sand with my guy and the world would feel safe and complete. We would shower (My mind gets dirty here, but lets keep it clean kids ;) in a steam shower with jets all over and from every angle. A make up and hair artist would be on hand to transform me into a Hollywood Bombshell with cascading curls, smoky eyes, red lips and huge eyelashes. I would choose my outfit from gorgeous (free) designer dresses that my stylist had chosen and dropped off earlier in the day (I would never wear the same outfit twice).

A chauffer driven escalade would be outside waiting to take me and all my friends to dinner at Mr. Chows (My biggest issue with LA is driving at night. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!) We would be joined by Beyonce, Nicole Richie and Kirsten Dunst (they seem like they would be fun additions to my social circle). We would chow on crispy beef, chicken Satay, lettuce cups (I LOVE Mr. Chows) and sip rose champagne (I love champagne!!). Everyone would laugh and have a great time.

Of course, we would hit the clubs (which ever is the hottest for that night) and walk right in without any stress. I would dance with ¬¬Britney Spears (a sober and healthy Britney from the past) laugh with Cameron Diaz, flirt with Enrique Inglesias and when the lights come up, I would return home to my Peanut waiting (not barking) for me to get in bed for a snuggle.

Good Night Dream World!

I think its possible! Don’t you?
I can’t wait to see what the future brings!!

Chudney,

DO you have a real job? Have you been to college? I would love for you to come and stay with me and my 2 kids for a week to see how real people live. It may change your direction in life. I don't see anywhere in your blog where you volunteer or give back in any kind of way. I know this is your own personal reflection on life but GIRL, WAKE UP!!! You are truly blessed. Most of us are looking under matresses and every nook and cranny in our homes to have enough money to put gas in our cars. DO you even know how much gas is? Have a great life Chudney!

Anonymous said...

I think possible, for the most part. A little self-indulgent, but so what, life is short, you have to go for what you want in life. Cause if you don't, you'll blink twice and its over. Who cares what anyone thinks.

Chudney,
There will always be haters out there. What you're doing is what many people do every day.....keep a diary of your comings and goings, after all that is what a BLOG is all about.
As the the comedian Sophie Tucker(you're too young to know who she is) "f*** if they can't take a joke".
I enjoy your blog. Keep up the fun!!!

Where were cool people like you when I lived in La-La land?!?! Love the blog!

A response to Chelsea's comment...
I do have a real job. I did go to college (Georgetown University in fact) I volunteer with children and I understand how "real people" live.. I am one!! I buy gas so yes, I know how much it costs too.
As this posting states this is not my everyday... I live a VERY normal life. This is a commentary of one very small aspect of my life. I think its fun, silly at times and very much in jest... like a tongue and cheek look at the socialite life and trying to get. Sorry if you dont think its fun or entertaining but some people do and I enjoy writing it.
If you dont like there are a million other blogs out there that you might prefer.
Thanks for stopping by!

Chudney I really love that you dream the same dream I do (well not the same but pretty similar). We will be able to make our dreams come true as long as we believe or at least maybe one day we can break the bank to live the dream and have a great memory for the future. Keep dreamin' girl!!

I say "Have Fun Again"...and "Again" and do what you want. Chelsea Montgomery...I do believe this child of Miss Ross has graduated from college, and this child of Miss Ross said this blog is fo' fun. Now why in the h*ll would she want to come hang out with you and your kiddies, unless you have a hot guy around there, great music, and Mimosa's??? Huh? Look, Chud...may I call you chud? Come to Houston/Dallas...I've got fun restaurants and I AM fun. I have 5 Bichon dogs to play with Peanut (and when you find out the names, you will want to come on over..) and have a hot trainer you should meet whom I call "The Spartan". And he is a nice young man..and cute too!!! If only I was younger and didn't have a generous husband...if only. Email me...I'll send directly to you as I don't want Chelsea Montgomery emailing me to babysit her two bad-ass (I'm sure) kids...I've got books & screenplays to write, and restaurants to throw up aound this world...and a birthday party to plan (my own in December)...is your mother available to perform some of my favorite tunes? Well, the Black Princess must go to bed now for the dogs will be hounding me (and NOT my husband) for breakfast in about 3 hours. Word!

Hi Chudney,

You reference your lack of money, how so? Your mom is the Ultra of all ULTRA DIVA'S! Plus was she not married to like a billionaire?!
You of all people should be pushing a convertable porsche-surely!

Hey Chudney! I love your website. It IS your blog and you can write about whatever you want. At the same time, most people are baffled at your "fantasy" obsession with socialites because most of America can't stand them. Most people in the real world see people like Kim K, Paris, and Lindsey as famous for their sexual exploits (tapes), partying, drunk driving, drug binges, etc. Most of America sees these girls as immature and fickle...I admit you seem so much classier. People can have fun, enjoy life, and want nice things without desiring to be the next Paris or Kim K. The world is much bigger and more exciting than the next Hollywood party or who is the "IT" girl in Hollywood.

I notice that you are writing some middle readers for kids/teens. I think that is great, and I wish you the best!

Chudney,

Never, ever and I mean, never answer a critic!

One of the posters, Chelsea Montgomery, seems a bit on the bitter side...at any rate,

Chudney, your solcialite dream world sounds absolutely fantabulous. When I was reading it, I sort of could visualize or imagine the decadence of it all. You know what I'd add to that? I'd add...no, I wouldn't add anything. That dream world HAS everything. In my socialite dream, I'd most likey live in New York City. I'd be really New York and artsy and sought after by all of the who's who. Of course there would be haters, but I'd be so rich and alustrious it wouldn't faze me. What about aging? No one's talked about aging. I'd have it where I would look fresh faced 24/7...forEVER! Okay, I think I've just went from the ridiculous to the sublime! I'll quit while I'm ahead.

To annonymous who inquires about your wealth...I think it is nice and appropriate for children to rest on their own laurels. Your mother and father gave you a nice life and put you through school...parents are to let children spred their wings thereafter. Good for you...I'm sure Mother Ross and Papa Silberstein (last name correct???) will leave behind a nice nest egg for all children to split one day, so, annoymous...you may want to mind yo' business.

Wow! This is crazy! Chudney how do you feel about the Paris Hilton saga? I only ask b/c I know your friend Kim K is a frenemy of Paris'?

This blog reminds me of Kathy Griffin's 'On The D-List' show, where she desperately tries to be part of the A-List and it is funny and insightful to watch but also a little painful.

I think you are a good, solid writer. I think you should pursue that to the fullest and I'm sure fabulousness will follow.

Remember: what you give to the world is superior - and lasts longer than - what you take from it. So don't worry about where people place you in the social standing or whether or not you have your own Brody Jenner lookalike yet, focus on being you and doing the best you can with the only life you've got and all those other good chips will fall into place.

Anonymous said...

why aren't there any black people in your dream world?

Anonymous said...

I hope you aspire to more than just a socialite's life. I really do. Socialites do NOTHING to contribute to society. Shopping and clubbing and going out to dinner every day? Is that really such a fabulous life? *yawn*

This is one of the funnier blogs I've read in a long time. All that stuff about how you want to live like those vapid, shallow, promiscuous, superficial socialites --- you crack me UP!

Er.... you ARE joking, right?

Curious to know...exactly what do you do for a living Ms. Ross?

"Your" ideal day seems to revolve a lot about images, labels, and flaunting money to mimic people you read about in US Weekly. Haven't recent socialite downfalls made you (and a lot of people) re-think what that lifestyle really means and what it promotes? Seems like a shallow dream for a grown-up girl. There's a lot more to the world than being seen with Jessica Simpson...

Anonymous said...

Your socialite dream, sounds like a beautiful dream. I often had thoughts like these when I was in high school, and still do sometime. You created a great picture , most people get an attitude and say "They are people just like anyone else", but not to me. I always wanted to have a life like this, but for a man, flying first class, being able to eat at the Cheesecake Factory anytime I wanted, front row seats to "The Color Purple", women actually taking an interest in me. And being able to afford top of the line, JCrew, Barneys, Dolce and Gabanna, Banana Republic. Last but never least, not having to worry about not having enough money, always fearing, I won't have made enough to keep my gas on. But then I think of someone like Brandon Davis, who has everything and having to pay high gas, and realizing, the small amount I can afford is helping to pay for lifestyle, sometimes I know I could do better if I were in his situation. But for me, it will always be "Studio 54", outside the velvet ropes.

THIS IS TO THE NEGATIVE MISS CHELSEA MONTGOMERY: JUST BECAUSE YOU DECIDED TO HAVE TO KIDS (PROBALY OUT OF WEDLOCK) AND YOUR KIDS FATHER OR SHALL I SAY FATHERS STOOD YOU UP AND HE IS ONLY PAYING A LITTLE MONEY A MONTH FOR CHILD SUPPORT OR NOT. AND NOW YOU ARE RAISING TWO KIDS ON YOUR OWN. AND THE DREAMS YOU ONCE HAD CAN NO LONGER BE. THOSE ARE THE DECISIONS YOU MADE DON'T GO CRUSHING NOBODY ELSES DREAMS. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF SOMEBODY TOLD YOUR KIDS THE SAME NEGATIVE THINGS YOU ARE SAYING TO SOMEELES CHILD? YOUR LIFE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SOMEELSE'S LIFE. AND BY THE WAY EVERYBODY KNOWS HOW MUCH GAS IS HELL IT'S ALL OVER THE NEWS. CHUNDNEY: BABY KEEP YOUR HEAD UP THIS NO THE LAST OF THE HATERS YOU WILL HEAR FROM. BUT LET THEM KEEP HATIN'THAT LET'S YOU KNOW THEY ARE THINKING ABOUT YOU. THIS YO GURL "OUTSPOKEN" Dangel718@aol.com E-MAIL ME!

Ms. Chudney, please be safe. Don't ever go off by yourself especially at night and never in a different country. If your mother had a houseshoe, she would tear that bottom up. Have fun, but stick with friends and don't go off with strangers. Glad you're back safe and keep moving and shaking.

Girl please! U may be half jew, but you are a nigga and you will always be seen as one. You will never achieve the same socialite status as a Paris or Lindsay. Get real and be yourself!

Anonymous said...

ANGELA DAVIS, YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN...AND MAYBE TAKE AN ENGLISH/GRAMMAR COURSE. YOU CAN'T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS ON OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES...AND IT WAS HIGHLY RUDE OF YOU TO DO THAT. ALL MS MONTGOMERY WAS SAYING IS THAT MS ROSS' BLOG SEEMS VERY SUPERFICIAL, (I WILL AGREE, IN MY OPINION) BUT IF THAT IS MS. ROSS' DREAM, THEN SO BE IT. SHE SEEMS NORMAL, DESPITE HAVING ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS/FABULOUS MOTHER'S AND I AM GLAD SHE WENT TO COLLEGE AND IS WRITING BOOKS FOR CHILDREN.

SOME PEOPLE HAVE DREAMS OF DOING OTHER THINGS THAN BEING FAMOUS AND I THINK THAT IS WHAT MS MONTGOMERY WAS SAYING. SO STOP JUMPING TO YOUR OWN UNEDUCATED DECISIONS.

I WISH ALL THE BEST TO CHUDNEY AND HER DREAMS, HER BLOGS ARE ENTERTAINING AND SHE IS A VERY PRETTY WOMAN WITH A GOOD HEAD ON HER SHOULDERS.

GODSPEED

I'M ALSO GLAD MS. ROSS IS VOLUNTEERING B/C IT IS A GREAT THING TO DO.

You truly need to be humbled. One day you'll look back and delete this stupid, idiotic, foolish blog.

...I just had the most fabulous champagne, wanted to share the flava. Branson B Rose is amazing, better than Tattingers Rose and Cristal

If you follow your dreams as a writer, producer, model, actress--you will walk the red carpet and the world will know your face, this AOL thang aint hurtin nothing--you feel me. Do what makes you happy.

I agree....never answer a critic...when someone needs to hate on your dreams, usually they've lost sight of their own dream (or, are only dreaming at night with their eyes closed). Spread your wings and fly, butterfly.

As I read your blog I was wondering the same thing as Anonymous "where are the black people in your fantasy world". I know you mentioned B.

As Diana R is a public persona and Chudney wants 2 be one very desperatey, IT ISNT AT ALL RUDE to ask about her wealth. She public thru her mom, she wants to be photographed, so its our business.

I too am wondering if she has any $ from her dad/mom supporting her.

You are getting some press for this blog on bossip and AOL black voices.

But U'd rethink your "I wanna be Paris hilton" mindset.

hey chud,
you forgot to tell this poor Chelsea Montgomery chick about the the time you took two years out of your life to teach 5th grade in Watts!
Or maybe how your mom raised 5 awesome kids and worked for living and never felt ashamed of her talent.
Anyway, I say F*#k em. You can't please everyone so you may as well please yourself.
You never know how much other people hurt on the inside for the decisions they made. Some people do not take responsibility for their own lives and like to blame everyone else...
Peace out sister. Live your life and ignore the haters. Why are they spending time on you if they hate you??????????????? Their lives must really suck!
